Epilepsy is a common disease causing seizures in dogs. It is reported that between 0.5% – 5% of all dogs will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. A genetic basis has been proven in Beagles, Dachshunds, German Shepherds, Keeshonds, and Belgian Tervurens.1 There are many breeds, including English Springer Spaniels, with a high incidence of epilepsy, which are suspected to have a genetic component. read more →
